Purchases

How do I restore Pro on a new or reset iPhone?

Make sure you’re signed in to the App Store with the Apple ID you used to buy Pro. Open the app, go to the Pro screen and tap Restore Purchases.

There’s no account to sign in to: Pro belongs to your Apple ID, so it comes back on any iPhone signed in to the same one.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple rather than in the app.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top (your Apple ID), then Subscriptions.
  3. Choose Foldle or Riffle and tap Cancel Subscription.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period. You keep Pro until the end of the period you’ve paid for.

How does the free trial work?

The yearly plan starts with one week free for new subscribers. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the week is up, you won’t be charged. Otherwise it becomes a paid yearly subscription at $14.99.

What’s the difference between lifetime and a subscription?

Lifetime is a single $29.99 payment for Pro in one app, with nothing to renew. Monthly and yearly cost less up front and renew until you cancel. Pro in Foldle and Pro in Riffle are bought separately.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles refunds for App Store purchases. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID and choose the purchase.

Foldle

When does the new puzzle appear?

At midnight in your iPhone’s time zone. Foldle goes by your local date, like Wordle, so everyone gets the same puzzle number on the same calendar day, wherever they are.

How do streaks work?

Your streak is the number of days in a row you’ve solved the daily puzzle. Solve it any time before your local midnight to keep the streak going. Miss a day and it starts again from zero.

Your streak, stats and history are stored on your iPhone only.

Will my stats move to a new iPhone?

Yes, if you set up the new iPhone from a backup of the old one (iCloud Backup or a backup on your computer). There’s no Foldle account or cloud sync, so a phone set up as new starts fresh.

What do the squares in my shared result mean?

🟥 is a fold, ⬜ is an undo and 💡 is a hint. The line never shows the shape or where you folded, so it’s safe to post before your friends have played.

Riffle

Where are my Riffle projects stored?

On your iPhone, in Riffle’s own storage. Nothing is uploaded, and there’s no account or cloud copy.

Your projects are included in your iPhone’s regular backups (iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer), so restoring a backup brings them back. Deleting Riffle deletes its projects, so export anything you want to keep first.

What happens to my projects if Pro ends?

Nothing you made is locked or deleted. You can still open, play and export every project; exports just use the free settings again.

How do I get my flipbook out of Riffle?

Export it as an MP4 video or a GIF, then share it or save it to Photos. Free exports are 720×960 video or 360×480 GIF with a small watermark. Pro exports 1080×1440 video and 540×720 GIF, without the watermark.

iPhone Duo and other iPhones

What’s different on iPhone Duo?

On iPhone Duo, the hinge becomes a control. In Foldle you fold the paper by folding the phone. In Riffle you close the phone to riffle through your flipbook.

Every hinge action also has a touch version, so you can always drag or tap instead.

The hinge controls arrive in a free update shortly after launch. Until then, both apps work by touch on every iPhone, including iPhone Duo.

Do I need an iPhone Duo?

No. Both apps are complete on any iPhone with iOS 26 or later. On other iPhones, and on the Duo’s outer screen, you fold by dragging and riffle by dragging the page edge.
